Our Dental Philosophy

Hello and welcome to our website. I love to practice in this beautiful community of Flagstaff, AZ. I’ve been practicing dentistry for almost 30 years now and been an owner of Alpine Smiles for 18 years. I moved to Flagstaff when my twin daughters were just 3 years old and now they are seniors in college. Time flies!

I was raised in Northeastern Iowa, and from a very young age, I was drawn to people's smiles. I have always wanted to help people feel better about smiling. To pursue my dream, I earned an undergraduate degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, and went on to dental school at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. After receiving my doctorate in dental surgery, I continued my training and received a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. This advanced education was completed at the University of Michigan College of Dentistry. Since graduating in 1996, I have attended hundreds of hours of post-graduate continuing education courses and cosmetic training seminars. I spend a lot of time researching new materials and technologies. The science of dentistry is changing rapidly, and I insist on using the best materials to achieve results that look natural, beautiful, and last a long time.

I cherish the long-lasting relationships I have built with my patients. I enjoy getting to know my patients and all of their dental needs. From a first checkup of two-year-old teeth, to fillings and regular cleaning visits for everyone. I feel like our patients are friends and family. It is very important to me to treat each patient with unsurpassed customer service so that the patient cannot help but tell someone else. I pride myself and my dental team's ability to deliver professional care using advanced technology. I want to change how people feel about going to the dentist.
